Hummocks Station a family getaway only 90 minutes from Adelaide CBD, a quiet property set among the bush land you can’t help but feel relaxed after staying here. This is one of our top spots in South Australia, the beautiful surroundings, the station stay experience and a short drive to Clare Valley and Yorke Pennisula.

We loved our stay here it was our first station stay and it didn’t disappoint it feels like you are miles away in your own quiet little sanctuary and was perfect for us to relax and enjoy family time. There are walking tracks around the property, showers and toilets, fire pits and camp kitchen and only 16 caravan sites in total even when it’s fully booked it would still feel like a peaceful getaway.

We spent our days playing with the go-kart, walking around the tracks and enjoyed a campfire of the night. The owners have a plane which they put on a show for the kids that was great to see. We paid a visit to Bumbunga Lake to see our first pink salt lake, although it was a cloudy day and the pink didn’t shine through it was still fun to see. We went into town to buy some groceries, with not much to do we like it that way it is a place you could easily do day trips out to Clare Valley and Yorke Pennisula.

  • Powered and unpowered sites
  • Water
  • Camp Kitchen
  • Dump Point

Located 45 Barunga Homestead Road, 3km SW of Snowtown, South Australia

We both agreed this would be the perfect place to get some families together and organise a stay the kids can play on the grass with the go-kart, run around with all the space and us parents could sit back and relax enjoying the campfire and the views.

Here is a fun little clip we put together of our stay at Hummocks Station.
